Methodology

Approximate visitors use a SHA-256 pseudonymous IP + user-agent fingerprint. Raw IP addresses are never written. Sessions use a 30-minute inactivity threshold. Scanner detection uses exploit-path signatures plus behavioural checks such as high error ratios, broad path scanning and high-rate probing.
