UNITA carries out its first attack preventing trains from passing through the Benguela railway at Teixeira de Sousa on the border with Zambia. President Kenneth Kaunda responds by kicking UNITAs 500 militant forces out of Zambia, Savimbi moves to Cairo, Egypt where he lived for a year then secretly entered Angola through Zambia and works with the Portuguese military against the MPLA
