Philip VI of France offers to bring David II and his court to France for asylum, and in May they arrive in France, setting up a court-in-exile at Chƒteau-Gaillard in Normandy. Goes into exile at Chateau Gaillard under the protection of Philip VI, 1334-1341. Forced into exile after Balliols restoration
