Louis IX surrenders to a eunuch named al-Salihi after he was promised he would not be killed and together with his two brothers Charles dAnjou and Alphonse de Poitiers is taken to Al Mansurah where he is imprisoned in the House of Ibrahim. Fought between the Crusaders led by Louis IX King of France and Egyptian forces led by Turanshah
