Corrections & Contact
Report a database error, suggest stronger evidence or contact the World History Database owner.
Corrections
Report an error or suggest a refinement
Corrections are most useful when they identify a specific record and provide enough evidence to review the issue. Suggested changes are assessed before the database is altered.
- Page or record
- Include the exact URL and, where possible, the person, event, place and date shown.
- What appears wrong
- State the current wording, date, spelling, category or identification that you believe should change.
- Proposed correction
- Give the replacement wording or factual correction as precisely as possible.
- Supporting evidence
- Include a primary, archival, museum, government, academic or other reliable reference that supports the change.

Review principle
Evidence takes priority over preserving an existing entry
Records may be revised when better evidence is identified. A submitted correction is a request for review rather than an automatic edit, because historical sources can disagree and some questions require additional verification.
